Silfra Diving

Starting from: Reykjavík, Silfra

If you are a certified scuba diver, it is a MUST to dive Silfra on your visit in Iceland. You will dive in drinking water and can touch two walls in two different continents at the same time.

During the one-hour drive to Thingvellir National Park, you will be introduced to the unique geological and cultural history of Silfra and the surrounding Thingvellir area.

Upon arrival at the Silfra fissure, your guide will give you a detailed briefing of the dive site and the most important aspects of dry suit diving, and then assist you in setting up the dive equipment.

The tour includes two dives. of 30-40 minutes with a maximum depth of 18 meters unless in winter the outside temperature drops below 0°C then there is only one extended 40-45 minute dive for the safety and comfort of the divers.
